1. Loafing Around

These aren't your Dads loafers! Despite usually thinking of a librarian or Nancy Drew when loafers come to mind, this formerly dull shoe is making a comeback, and this time, with a facelift. The comeback of loafers is great news because you can wear them both into the office to elicit a sophisticated, professional look or with a pair of skinny leg jeans and a flannel on the weekends. A fun way to work this trend into your wardrobe is to go the unconventional route. Choose a silver metallic or deep burgundy patent to bring a little spunk to an otherwise conservative shoe. Another great aspect? Loafers are some of the most comfortable shoes you can find!

2. Working at the Carwash

Carwash pleats are like the cool older cousin of the tennis skirt. Think of a more sophisticated flapper skirt thats perfect to wear to the office and then out for drinks afterword. Since the skirt is a bold statement in itself, its an easy piece to pair. A simple blouse or even a t-shirt accompanies the skirt nicely and makes for a classy way to show a little leg! You can create a rocker chic look by pairing it with a biker jacket or elevate the skirt by tucking in a silk blouse of your choosing.  If youre looking to dress outside the box this season, dont miss out on this fun trend.

3. Higher Love

As we all know, high-waisted pants made a comeback a few years ago and stuck around. This season, designers have taken things up a notch - literally! Were seeing even more higher-waisted pants than previous seasons, and were liking the looks of things! This is great news in terms of wearability, because of how slimming and flattering this cut of pant is. Whether you want to test-drive this look with a pair of wide leg jeans or a pleated pair of dress pants, this cut is great for all body types. We definitely have a pair or two at the top of our fall shopping list!

4. One of the Boys

Who doesn't love a trend that capitalizes on comfort? The incorporation of oversized blazers, boyfriend trousers and slouchy trench coats has been seen across runways this fall. This trend is wearable for everyone, as its universally flattering and incredibly versatile. A pair of loose-fitting boyfriend jeans is the perfect Sunday brunch staple, and throwing on an oversized  blazer helps to give any look an edgy element of London grunge. There are so many ways to pull off this look. We recommend working a few elements of menswear into your fall wardrobe.

5. Plaid and Simple

Although plaid is a quintessential fall staple, this season is seeing a big comeback in an elegant way.  From houndstooth jackets to tweed blazers, and everyones favourite, plaid flannel button ups; this is truly a wearable trend! Plaid comes in so many fun varieties, allowing you to make it as bold or subtle an element as you decide to make it. If you're feeling adventurous, why not try out a bold red plaid pant? Mix and match plaid separates, or keep it simple by layering a heavy knit over a plaid button up. Plaid has never looked so good!
