You've made a list, and checked it twice, but STILL don't have any ideas for a certain person? As much as you want to buy something, sometimes it's easier and less expensive to make something--like cookies!

The below are tried, true, and tested by yours truly.

Oatmeal Peppermint Dipped Cookies

I made these a few weeks ago for our annual Christmas party. Guests raved about it. Not only do they look pretty, but they taste like the holidays!

Snickerdoodle Cookies

I made these small because I knew they were going to get snatched up while they were still on the cooling rack, and I didn't want to make them again. These are a delicious, cinnamon and sugar cookie.

Hot Chocolate Cookie (with mini marshmallows!)

On a cold day, all I want to do is curl up with a warm cup of *something*. Hot chocolate cookies are the perfect way to bring this classic into treat form. I added some leftover crushed candy canes from the oatmeal recipe above to give this recipe that "something else" (even though they were awesome to begin with!).

I'm planning on splitting them up and putting a few of each in decorative boxes, lined with colourful tissue paper, and giving them out to some of my friends. They also freeze really well, so any leftovers can be placed in the freezer and brought out for unexpected company.

Hope you enjoy some of my personal favourite holiday recipes!
