Today we are looking ahead to Saturday, November 21 and Mirror Ball 2015, an annual fundraising gala event that supports the charitable initiative Beauty Gives Back.

This initiative helps women living with cancer to look good and feel good, which encourages confidence and a sense of well-being.  This year’s Mirror Ball is the 24th year the gala has been held.  Beauty Gives Back has supported more than 165,000 women through the Cancer Blues with Look Good Feel Better workshop.  Beauty Gives Back helps Canadian women living with cancer to feel good about themselves and endeavours to evoke a sense of hope and optimism.

The Wild North is proud to once again be a participant in the silent auction portion of the gala and we are happy to support this very important cause.

Funds raised through Mirror Ball go toward the continuation of existing programs to help women living with cancer.

If you plan to attend Mirror Ball 2015, you might consider supporting local, Toronto-based designers Copious and Narces.

Carissa McCaig is the designer behind Copious Fashions.  Established in 2011, Carissa creates her clothing line, which includes stylish, unique dresses using images from her country girl upbringing as inspiration.  She is inspired by the colours of the seasons and how the wind moves the fabric of a dress.  Her elegant plaid gown is perfect attire to wear to the Mirror Ball gala.

Designed by Nikki Wirthensohn, NARCES is a Toronto-based womenswear line that specializes in after-five and evening wear. Nikki is a Canadian of Persian heritage who was born in Austria, and grew up in Iran and the UK.  The dresses Nikki creates are dramatic, artistic pieces and the black cocktail dress is fitting to be worn to the Mirror Ball gala.
